Authentic Japanese Natural Whetstone from Shohonyama, Kyoto
A rare Midori-ita Usu-Karasu natural finishing whetstone from Shohonyama, Kyoto, with a green base and faint Karasu (crow-like) patterns drifting across the surface. Massive body cut in the 30-kiri extra-thick format for exceptional durability and long-term stability. Medium-soft, with excellent sharpening feedback, strong polishing power, and a refined finish. Natural suji are present but don't interfere with sharpening. Great for kitchen knives, plane blades, chisels, and razors.
