Natural Whetstone Mizu-Asagi 1831g | Made in Japan, Kyoto, Shohonyama
Authentic Japanese Natural Whetstone from Shohonyama, Kyoto.
This Mizu-Asagi is a high-quality finishing stone originally handled by a traditional Kyoto whetstone shop. It features a beautiful natural pattern often referred to as a Damascus pattern, giving the stone a distinctive and elegant appearance.
As an extra-thick Sanjū Kiri (30-cut type) stone, it offers excellent durability and a large, stable sharpening surface. Its hard, fine-grained structure provides excellent bite on steel, strong polishing performance, crisp yet smooth sharpening feedback, and produces a bright, refined finish. The clean, suji-free sharpening surface ensures consistent performance, making it ideal for kitchen knives, chisels, plane blades, razors, and other precision edge tools.
