Natural Whetstone Nakayama Tomae 901g | Made in Japan, Kyoto, Shohonyama
Nakayama Tomae – often called the “Yokozuna of Whetstones” – is one of the finest Japanese natural finishing stones from Shohonyama (Kyoto, Yamashiro).
With moderate hardness and excellent polishing power, it is ideal for kitchen knives, chisels, planes, and razors. In skilled hands, it can even erase sharpening scratches.
This is a rare no-suji (clean surface) razor-type awasedo, already reinforced with Youjyouzumi, a special water-based protective coating. This traditional treatment ensures durability, stability, and safe long-term use. Purchased directly from a respected Japanese whetstone shop.
