Nakayama Tomae, one of the most respected Japanese natural finishing whetstones (Jnat) from Kyoto, has long been treasured by professional sharpeners and craftsmen. Historically quarried in Umegahata, Nakayama stones are regarded as some of the finest finishing stones in Japan.
This is a newly quarried thick Nakayama Tomae from Shohonyama, weighing 962 g and measuring 127 × 76 × 38 mm. Already reinforced with Youjyouzumi (a traditional water-based protective coating), it offers durability, stability, and readiness for long-term use.
