Natural Whetstone Ōhira Renge Suita 2883g | Made in Japan, Kyoto, Shohonyama
Authentic Japanese Natural Whetstone from Ōhira Mine, Shohonyama, Kyoto
This authentic Ōhira Renge Suita Awasedo comes from the legendary Ōhira Mine, one of Kyoto's most renowned sources of natural Suita stones. This exceptionally rare Tokkyūhin (Special Grade) Kuradashi stone bears the original Ishihara Toishi Store Kuradashi stamp as well as the original Ōhira mine stamp. Featuring beautiful Renge (lotus blossom) patterns and a medium-hard composition, it offers fast cutting action, excellent polishing performance, and smooth sharpening feedback. Its massive size and extra-thick profile make it an outstanding choice for both professional use and serious collectors. It is ideal for the final sharpening of kitchen knives, chisels, plane blades, straight razors, and other precision edge tools. The "Kuradashi" stamp indicates it was released directly from the historic Ishihara Toishi Store, a detail highly valued by collectors.
