Shohonyama White Suita Renge Suminagashi – 1222 g (approx. 202 × 82 × 34 mm) | Soft Finishing Stone
This is an authentic Shohonyama White Suita Renge Suminagashi (正本山 白巣板 蓮華墨流し) natural finishing whetstone (Awasedo) from Kyoto, Japan, weighing 1222 g.
It features a soft white base adorned with flowing suminagashi (ink-flow) patterns and delicate renge (lotus-flower) inclusions, creating a visually elegant and character-rich appearance.
As a soft to slightly coarse Suita, it raises slurry quickly, providing smooth, consistent sharpening feedback and fast cutting performance.
Some natural suji (lines) are visible but do not affect sharpening performance.
Ideal for kitchen knives, chisels, plane blades, and razors, this stone offers a balance of practical usability and collectible visual appeal.
The back and sides are sealed with Ishisan (traditional water-based protective coating) for durability and moisture resistance.
