Vintage Chisel Set Kichiichirō Oire Nomi 10pcs | Made in Japan | Unused
Vintage Chisel Set Kichiichirō Oire Nomi 10pcs | Made in Japan | Unused
A rare vintage 10-piece Japanese oire nomi (bench chisel) set by Registered Master Kichiichiro, produced in the late Showa era (circa 1970s).
Each chisel features Four-Ura hollow backs for reduced sharpening resistance and improved edge retention, with durable large-socket (“ooiire”) construction for maximum strength.
Fitted with premium ebony handles, the set provides excellent balance and refined handling. The maker’s stamp uses the old-form kanji for “Kichi” with three stacked “seven” radicals, a distinctive hallmark of Kichiichiro’s work.
These chisels are unused dead stock, retaining original factory condition with no final honba (professional sharpening) and no katsura (ferrule) removal. They come complete with the original vintage paper-covered box, which enhances both protection and collectible value.
While unused, minor cosmetic aging may be present on the blades, handles, or box due to long-term storage. This set is ideal for professional woodworking, precision joinery, or as a high-value addition to a Japanese tool collection.
